About Your Presenter

Boyd Shepherd, D.D.S., J.D. is a 1988 graduate of the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston, and a 1992 graduate of South Texas College of Law. Dr. Shepherd has practiced law as a Texas-licensed attorney since 1994, a member of the ADA, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. Dr. Shepherd has developed a specialized law practice by providing legal services and counsel to Texas dentists on a wide range of legal issues and needs, including TSBDE compliance, licensure, practice transitions, employment, commercial lease review and negotiation, and risk management. In addition to his practice of law, since 2006, Dr. Shepherd has also directed several courses at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, including courses in Ethics, Communications, Law & Regulations, and Practice Management.
